Love Is Not a Feeling That Comes and Goes. It is an Energy That vibrates permanently in every cell of our Body.

We spend our lives searching for love. But what if we have been looking in the wrong direction entirely? What if love is not something outside us — but the very energy we are built from?

Love as a feeling.

It arrives without warning. A moment of watching someone you love. The first breath of morning air before the day begins or the first look at a newborn baby. A piece of music that opens something in your chest you didn't know was closed. A stranger's eyes meet yours with unexpected warmth.

For just a second, everything stops. The noise goes quiet. And there is only this — a fullness, a warmth, a profound sense that everything is exactly as it should be. You feel safe.

That feeling is not random. It is not luck. It is not reserved for the fortunate few.

That feeling is you — briefly, beautifully — remembering what you are.

"That moment when everything goes still and warm — that is not love arriving from somewhere outside. That is love being allowed to flow. It was always there."

Love is an energy.

We have been taught to think of love as an emotion. Something that comes and goes. Something that depends on other people and outside circumstances.

But what if love is something far more fundamental than that?

Quantum physics tells us that everything in the universe — including every cell in your body — is, at its core, vibrating energy. Love energy. Research by the HeartMath Institute [1] has shown something remarkable: when a human being feels genuine love, compassion, or care, the body's cells shift into a state called coherence. The heart, the brain, and the nervous system all begin to synchronise. Everything hums at the same frequency.

That frequency is love.

It is not a metaphor. It is measurable. It is physical. And it is your natural state — the state your body was designed to live in.

What happens in the body when love flows freely

The heart rhythm becomes smooth and ordered — what scientists call heart coherence. Blood pressure drops. The immune system strengthens.

The nervous system moves out of fight-or-flight and into a genuine state of safety, rest, openness, and connection.

Oxytocin — the bonding molecule — floods the body, creating feelings of warmth, safety, and belonging.

The cells communicate more efficiently. The body functions better — more clearly, more fluidly, more fully alive.

The heart's electromagnetic field expands, becoming detectable several feet beyond the body. We radiate outward what we carry within.

This is not poetry. This is biology.

And here is the part that changes everything: fear does the opposite. When cells are constantly in a state of stress, vigilance, or self-protection, the natural flow of love energy is disrupted. It gets blocked. Contracted. The nervous system, which is built to keep us safe, triggers a fight-or-flight response or a shutdown.

We do not lose the love. We lose access to it.

So what blocks the energy?

Think of love energy like water moving through a river. When the river is clear, it flows beautifully. But over a lifetime — and often across generations — rocks accumulate. The flow slows. Sometimes it stops almost entirely.

These are the rocks I see most often in the people I work with.

Block 01

Old pain stored in the body

Hurt that was never fully processed does not disappear. It lives in the cells as tension, bracing, and a constant low hum of fear.

Block 02

No one modelled it

If love was never freely given — if it was conditional, scarce, or expressed only through doing — the nervous system never learned what free-flowing love feels like.

Block 03

"I am not worthy of it"

A deep belief formed early — often wordlessly — that love belongs to others, not to you. That you must earn your place in it rather than inhabit it.

Block 04

Control instead of openness

Love energy flows when we are open. Control closes us. Many of us learned to stay closed because, at some point, opening led to pain.

Block 05

Chronic busyness

When we never stop, we never feel. The body cannot shift into the open, coherent state that love requires when it is permanently switched to high alert.

Block 06

Believing vulnerability is weakness.

Vulnerability is the channel through which love energy moves between people. When we close it off, we cut the flow in both directions — what we could give and what we could receive.

Not one of these blocks is a personal failing. Every single one is formed to protect you from pain. The problem is not that they formed — it is that they stayed. And in staying, they prevented the very energy that gives life its meaning from moving freely through you.

What it feels like when love energy moves freely

When the blocks begin to clear — even partially — people describe something they did not expect.

Not fireworks. Not drama. Something quieter.

A warmth that starts in the chest and radiates outward. A softness in the body they had not felt since childhood. A moment of stillness in which they are present — not managing, not performing, not waiting for something to go wrong — just here, alive, and enough.

That is love energy moving through the cells, the way it was always meant to. That is your nature, returning to itself.

And when two people meet from that place — when both have done enough of their own inner work that their love energy is genuinely flowing — the connection that forms is unlike anything most of us have been taught to expect. It is not urgent or anxious. It is spacious. It nourishes rather than depletes. It gives freely, because love energy — unlike money, unlike time — does not diminish when it flows. It grows.

"When love energy flows through you freely, you do not just feel better. You become a different kind of presence in every room you enter."

What science confirms

The HeartMath Institute has demonstrated that the heart generates an electromagnetic field extending several feet beyond the body (01)— and that this field changes measurably with what we feel. In a state of love and coherence, we broadcast that frequency into the space around us. Other people's nervous systems receive it, often before a single word is spoken. This is not mystical. It is physics. What we carry inside radiates outward — and returns to us in kind.

How therapy restores the flow

Therapy works at the level of the body and the nervous system

It does not teach you how to love. It removes what is blocking love from flowing through you the way it naturally wants to.

Think of it as clearing the river, not creating the water. The water — the love energy — was always there. We are simply moving the rocks.

1

Locate where the energy is stuck.

We identify the specific fear, belief, or memory that is creating the block — not in the mind alone, but in the body. Where do you feel it? The body always knows, even when the mind does not.

2

Return to where it began.

Every block has a moment when it was created. EMDR allows us to return there safely — with the full resources of the adult — and process what the child's body could not complete at the time.

3

Teach the body a new frequency.

Hypnotherapy and somatic work help the nervous system experience what safety and openness actually feel like — not as concepts, but as physical states the body can return to again and again.

4

Practise receiving as well as giving.

For many people, letting love energy in is harder than sending it out. We practise staying open when warmth arrives — until receiving becomes as natural as breathing.

5

Trust the energy that was always there.

Beneath every layer of protection is a body that still knows how to love freely. That knowing never left. Healing is simply the process of finding our way back to it.

You are already made of what you are looking for

The love you have been searching for — in other people, in achievements, in the quiet hope that one day you will finally feel whole — is not somewhere outside you.

It is in your cells right now.

It is the energy that has been trying to move through you your entire life. Waiting patiently behind every wall you built. Present in every moment, you allowed yourself to slow down and be.

You do not need to become more loving. You need to remove the blockage.

You do not need to find love. You need to remember that you are it.

That is what therapy, at its deepest level, is helping you do — not to add something that was missing, but to clear the path back to what was always, already, fully alive inside you.

"

Love is not the destination. It is the energy you are made of. Healing is simply learning to let it flow — freely, fully, and permanently."

Take a breath right now. Place a hand on your chest. Feel the warmth there.

That is not just a heartbeat. That is the energy. It has been there all along.

That is where healing begins. That is where love has always been. That is where you have always been.
